Anna Calvi.

Anna Calvi is the next one! I figured it was time for someone who was a little more recognisable than the previous few females I have blogged about tonight/today. Anyway, she has one album, which is self-titled, and has had satisfactory success with this album (which I think is brilliant - the album, not the success)! From this album, she's managed to release three singles, and another two which are not album tracks, such as the one below...

Despite being 30 years old, she has only been in the music business for six years, but in these six years, she has accumulated a total of five nominations (in terms of awards) and one win, which is impressive. These awards, unsurprisngly, surround the concept of 'Best Breakthrough Artist', she's had some success, we feel she deserves more...

The song above, Desire, is one of my favourite songs overall, and definitely one of my favourites from Anna Calvi herself - it is a spectacular song! Although there has been nothing said about a second album up until now, I hope to see one soon, don't you?
