The first male artist I'll be blogging about is the wonderful Brent Anderson. Brent is a 23 year old acoustic country artist, who is releasing his debut album this year. He has supported many acts already, including Brad Paisley, Ronnie Dunn and Jerrod Niemann. In the latter part of 2011, his debut single "Amy's Song" was all over country radio.
As a country fan, I personally have enjoyed the music I've heard from Brett thus far. I'd be inclined to say he'd appeal most to those of you that enjoy Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw, artists like that. If you like any type of country music at all though, he's worth a listen and is definitely a fresh addition to an almost forgotten genre. Another thing I would say about Brent is that he's not all country. A lot of his songs have a slightly more rocky feel to them, sort of like a fusion of the two genres, which is enjoyable.
