Lena.

Lena is a singer/songwriter from Germany, that's right, we're going a bit European for our next 'uprising discovery' - but that doesn't mean you shouldn't know her, anyone who watched Eurovision in 2010 should recognise Lena! She came first when representing Norway, but has represented Germany two or three times as well. She's had a lot of success in Germany, with her debut album reaching gold-certification (a sale of over 500,000 units), and three singles reaching the top five in the German charts...

The song above is 'Taken By A Stranger' and is one of my favourites; I personally think it, and she, is fantastic. This song represented Germany in the 2011 Eurovision song-contest & was fairly successful. Speaking of Eurovision, I might as well show you her winning in 2010...

There she is performing Satellite! So, it's true, she's had a lot of success in Germany and various other European countries, so she's not as unknown as some of our other 'uprising discoveries', but we would like to boost her popularity in England of course - go research her a bit more!
