Welcome to Uprising!


On this blog, you'll encounter posts from the group members, Louise (me!), Zak and Jess. Discover and discuss new music with us!

If you're a music lover (of any genre!) you should stick around. We'll be bringing you information, favourite songs & pictures about many new upcoming (or "uprising", heh) artists. Zak will be bringing you news about female acts, I'll be discussing the men and Jess will be focussing on the groups.

If you have a favourite act, we'd love suggestions on acts to write about and we would of course, give you credit in that blog post for the suggestion.

Of course, if you're going to be reading our (extremely subjective) opinions then you'll want to know a bit about us. Because we're very interesting. Really.

First up, you've got Zak! Zak is a 16-year old mophead from Newcastle. He has a keen interest in ladies, which is why his speciality on this blog will be the female artists. His favourite genres of music include Blues & Rock and some of his favourite artists are Joshua Radin and Emeli Sande.

Next up, it's Jess! Jess is our 27 year old blogger from York. She'll be dealing with blog posts about groups. Her favourite genres of music are pop and alternative and her favourite artists include Siobhan Donaghy and Regina Spektor.

Last, and maybe even least, there's me Louise, a 22 year old student from Dublin. I'll be dealing with the boys, because I like doing that. My personal favourite genres of music would be indie pop and country and some of my favourite artists include Taylor Swift, BOY and Hot Chelle Rae.
