Clare Maguire.

Clare Maguire, a popular support act for Plan B & Hurts in 2011, is a singer/song-writer whose musical genres lie somewhere between Trip-hop and Electropop, who has managed to gain moderate success with her first (fantastic) album called Light After Dark, however as far as I'm concerned, this 'moderate success' is not enough for this talent! I'm sure you will agree with me after you take a listen to these gems below.

The song above, The Last Dance, was her second official single which managed to peak at number #23 in the charts, you have to agree that it deserves a bit higher than 23... like, #1 for example - especially since her voice has been compared to the legends of Stevie Nicks & Annie Lennox! Anyway, I think I'll spoil you by letting you have a look at one more, in fact, this one is my favourite on the album - a song that hasn't been released called 'You're Electric'!

A second album is expected somewhat soon this year, and I will be the first one to go out and buy it. Clare has been nominated for four awards and has successfully won one award, all regarding the concept that she'll be the 'next big thing'. Well, I hope so and we at Uprising suggest you keep a very close eye for this 24-year-old vocal sensation in the near future!
